If you ever try to find the meaning of The word nepotism, Bollywood would be no exception.
The star kids of popular actor and actresses, directors and producers are making debut with a strong jack and PR backing up. The hype is even higher for those making debuts in acting line.
Their first films are usually promoted with statements like, “nobody will offers you a big budget film if you’re not good“. And even if there first few films doesn’t make a good note, the failure never bother them and their career.
Now, it’s not wrong with a person following their parents’ profession. As kids, we were on our parent’s shoe and idolize them and imagine ourselves to be like them. But how justified is it that without any acting skills and potential, an entire current generation of actors took over Bollywood?
The likes of Tiger Shroff (as an actor), Sonakshi Sinha, Shraddha Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor and many in the queue. What is actually happening?
Their films are somehow making money (if reports are to be trusted) but is there any wow factor seen in their performance by anyone, in any case memorable?
As a regular moviegoer, Earning isn’t our cup of tea but a good movie is.
They relate to nepotism but what about movies done by Tiger Shroff. Everyone around him talks about his dance skills and action skills but what about his acting skills?
Another one in the queue is Arjun Kapoor, where still a good performance from him is expected, he first need to work on his speaking skills, hardly a sentence of his dialogue is audible.
Well same lies with sonakshi sinha too. after her worst performance in Lootera, films like Akira and Noor couldn’t help her out. Moreover, they are trying their hands in ‘Singing’ too. As if acting was perfect enough. Thanks for the Auto tune for that !
Last week’s release, A Death In The Gunj starring Vikrant Massey as the lead, his performance has been phenomenal and the film was praised by everyone.
With supporting roles like in Lootera and Dil Dhadakne Do, where his presence on screen was simply outstanding, it seems to be very unfair to recognize him this lately. But here in Bollywood he would get casted as the hero’s friend (Case in point: Half Girlfriend).
Similarly, In spite being a National Award winner, Rajkummar Rao has to prove himself everytime and in every movie he does. Since he isn’t from ‘That’ Bollywood background he has to struggle for every aspect.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s acting needs no evidence yet his upcoming film, Manto, is struggling for funds.
