Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir se is the third installment of YPD which makes a fresh start. The story is refreshing with some funny scenes and twists but failed to impress. It seems like director Navaniat Singh loves vodka shots, daru, fancy champagne, whiskey and then again daaru daaru.

The film, Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir se starring trio Dharmendra, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, and then Kriti Kharbanda, Shatrughan Sinha, Johnny Lever, Satish Kaushik, Asrani and among others. The beginning of the film introduces Puran (Sunny Deol), who is an Ayurvedic revolutionary and cures his patients at free of cost. He has a drug Vajra Kavach that has been handed down to him by the ancestors. While another character Kaala (Bobby Deol) who is younger brother of Puran (Sunny Deol) want to sell the formula because he want to get rich quickly. But everytime Puran resists the offers of companies to tell the formula of special drug. Another character advocate Parmar (Dharmendra) who talks to invisible women, (it’s like for fun, director will do anything but the result is zero).

Then, the misadventures are triggered by Marfatia, a business magnate from Gujarat who wants the formula of Vajra Kavach and he’ll do anything for it. Enter Chikoo (Kriti Kharbanda), an ENT doctor in Gujarat who is also addicted to alcohol. She arrives in Amritsar to learn Ayurveda from Puran (Sunny Deol). After that, Kaala falls in love with Chikoo but she returns Gujarat and Kaala missed him.

Well, the twist is Chikoo is the one who steals the formula of Vajra Kavach and give it to Marfatia because she wanted to open her own clinic.

Of the three main actors, Bobby Deol got the maximum screen time and it’s like emotional, happy, smart character, well you can say everything at once. While Sunny Deol’s Puran is so much innocent and Dharmendra ji doesn’t deserves this kind of role, like really a casanova i mean sorry hand’s up. But we’re impressed by Kriti Kharbanda who undoubtedly looking beautiful.

Coming to the dialogues and funny scenes (little one’s), the courtroom scene is good due to conversation of Judge (Shatrughan Sinha) and Parmar (Dharmendra).

Dialogues like “Mujhe koi aitraaz nahi hai yaar magar wahan ki climate bhout dry hai”

The dialogues doesn’t seems to work because the jokes start to fall flat (seriously) and scenes get too much stretched for no apparent reason. There is also one thing coincidences that are way too much than the expectations.

The songs like Nazarbattu, Tunu Tunu will entertain you little bit. In end of film, there is also an appearence of Rekha, Sonakshi Sinha and Salman Khan but it doesn’t work. Sure, punches by Sunny Deol create a tremor in the ground but it’s almost like impossible tasks. He also stopped truck with his one hand and it’s like a copy of south Indian movies. This seems like, are you even studied the laws of physics?

What I think is, the film is one time watch but the duration of film is too long. I rate this movie with 2.5 stars. What’s your views about the film Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se, let us know in the comments section below.
