Veteran actor Kader Khan passed away at the age of 81 due to prolonged illness. Kader Khan was admitted to a hospital in Canada and passed away on December 31.

A day after rumors of Kader Khan’s death, his son Sarfaraz confirmed that Kader Khan Passed away at 6 pm as per Canadian time. He was in the hospital for around 16-17 weeks and slipped into the coma in the afternoon on December 31.


According to reports, “Kader Khan was suffering from Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, a disease that causes difficulty in walking, balance, and dementia. The doctors had transferred him to BiPAP ventilator after breathing issues.

The last rites of Kader Khan will be performed in Canada, as the entire family is there.

Kader Khan was born in Kabul in 1937, he was a professor of Civil Engineering before acting and making his debut in Bollywood. He had written dialogues for over 250 movies. Randhir Kapoor-Jaya Bachchan’s Jawani Diwani is one of the films for which he wrote dialogues.

He made his acting debut in 1973 with film Daag. Kader Khan was one of the Bollywood actors who had appeared in 300 movies in his career.

As a screenwriter, he is most celebrated for collaborations with Manmohan Desai for many successful films, Amar Akbar Anthony, Dharam Veer, Coolie, Sharaabi, Lawaaris, and Muqaddar Ka Sikandar.

After the demise of Kader Khan, many faces of Bollywood paid tribute to him.

His death is a loss to the Bollywood industry and he will always be remembered for his humour, acting, and writing. Rest in peace, Sir!
