The official teaser of the movie has been released. The movie shows hope of giving the audience something different from the usual Bollywood masala movies. It has a different kind of storyline and looks promising. The movie follows the story of Anil Kapoor who is a struggling musician. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is playing the role of an already established rockstar. The movie has romance brewing between Aishwarya and Rajkumar Rao. Earlier rumors said that the role was going to be played by R. Madhavan but were later on cleared.
The original film revolves around a father who wishes to fulfill his daughter’s dreams of becoming a singing sensation. He kidnaps the country’s ruling superstar so that his daughter can get famous in exchange. The trailer of this 2000 film is hilarious but let’s see if Fanney Khan can deliver the same reaction from the audience.
The producer of the film Arjun N. Kapoor had said,
“Anil Kapoor plays a character who celebrates the extraordinary in the ordinary and hence looking the part was extremely crucial. He managed to pull it off beautifully and continues to inspire all of us with his dedication and passion.”
The first look of the film came in the form of a poster which was released on 24 June 2018. The poster displays the back of Anil Kapoor and from behind him there are pictures of legendary singer Mohammed Rafi. The poster has metaphors like him holding a lunchbox and a trumpet. The metaphor means that he is trying to make his name in the music industry which is a task in itself and then he has to make a livelihood too.
The film is scheduled for a worldwide release on 3 August 2018.
