Last week, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a meeting at the SCO summit in Qingdao. SCO summit is the summit where Chinese leader Xi Jinping Accepted the invitation to visit India in the year 2019. In SCO summit PMO India stressed on the importance of good connectivity with neighboring countries and the fact that growing digitalization is changing the way we connect.
Modi said, “India is committed to extending full assistance to contribute towards a successful outcome of the Summit.”
“Some Indian friends suggested that India, China, and Pakistan may have some kind of trilateral summit on the sidelines of the SCO. So, if China, Russia, and Mongolia can have a trilateral summit, then why not India, China, and Pakistan,”
Chinese Ambassador to India Luo Zhaohui was quoted as saying by ANI.
The proposal made by China includes a reference that would be solving the border issues, the future of Jammu and Kashmir will surely be foremost on the agenda of both China And Pakistan. China and Pakistan have repeatedly stated that they consider the other as their most trusted friend and that theirs is the deepest sort of strategic relationship. While making the suggestion, the Chinese ambassador pointedly spoke of avoiding another Doka La type confrontation.
Regarding this issue, India’s security and intelligence analysts and policymakers neglected what was afoot.
