Ashwin, Yadav nail the weak Afghanistan batting line-up.
As Hardik Pandya and Ravichandran Ashwin came out to bat on day 2, the energetic Afghanistan team looked to get the both out. Fortunately enough they got Ashwin for 18. Hardik was then joined in by Ravindra Jadeja, the southpaw edged the very first ball but then survived. Hardik Pandya looked pretty good, defending with a long stride and scoring when it mattered.
The right handed batsman hit 10 fours and got out to Wafadar for a descent 71. Jadeja also attacked but then gave his wicket to MD Nabi only when we thought he was going well.
The interesting part of the innings came when Umesh Yadav was smacking the ball around. Umesh hit two massive sixes and two fours and raced towards 26 (21). The last Indian wicket to fall was that of Ishant Sharma.
Mohammad Shahzad and Javed Ahmad opened the innings for Afghanistan and to his bad luck Shahzad was run out by the 3D player, Hardik Pandya. The visitors never looked like getting settled as the side was bowled out for 109. For India, Ashwin took 4 wickets, Ravindra Jadeja and Ishant Sharma took 2 each.
Mohammad Nabi was the highest scorer as he managed 24(44) before getting out to R.Ashwin.
Ajinkya Rahane enforced follow-on and Afghanistan again looked a shatter batting unit with no fight at all. This time around Umesh Yadav was on fire as he first removed the openers for 13 and 3 respectively. Then he sent back MD Nabi for a duck. Stanikzai was looking stable in the center but then he gave a catch to Shikhar Dhawan off a Ravindra Jadeja delivery on 25.
