Javed Akhtar turns 74 today, he wears many hats as a screenwriter, poet, lyricist in the Hindi film industry. His real name is ‘Jadu’, taken from a poem written by his father. Here is a line of a poem, “Lamha lamha kisi jadu ka fasana hoga”.
He married to Shabana Azmi, after giving divorce to his first wife Honey Irani. He is an atheist and raised his children, Farhan Akhtar, and Zoya Akhtar as atheists too. Javed Akhtar made a debut with his lyrics in film Haathi Mere Saathi in 1971.
