The trailer for Gully Boy starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt presents a thrilling underground musical tour. Gully Boy is not a biopic, it’s a fictional story which is inspired by Naezy and Divine.
In the trailer, the journey of a Mumbai street boy who goes on to become India’s most notable rapper. The film portrays about the everyday struggle, determination of the unseen talents.
Ranveer Singh who plays the character Murad is shown to be a resident of Mumbai living with a father plays by Vijay Raaz. A young boy who is struggling against his life problems, he finds an escape in rap and fighting for it.
While Safina plays by Alia Bhatt is motivating him (Ranveer Singh) towards reaching his goal. She is a young, aspiring doctor who is possessive of her boyfriend and also struggling with societal standards. A friendly rapper plays by Siddhant Chaturvedi and the supporting cast includes Kalki Koechlin and Vijay Verma.
Basically, the film focuses on the struggles of an emerging artist, from fighting against family expectations to battling with established rappers. The film’s official trailer brings a dhamaka along with more of asli hip-hop and we can’t stop ourselves from playing it on a loop. The verse of Rap penned by Spitfire is like an adrenaline rush and Ranveer Singh rapping the verses is “Bole toh Bomb blast”
Both Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt had the successful 2018 and now entering the new year with this dhamakedaar Gully Boy making us extremely excited. The trailer looks promising and surely film will be one of the super hits of 2019.
