The Delhi Police has arrested a 21-yr-old man for sending an email to Arvind Kejriwal, in which he threatened to kidnap his daughter. Last week, an anonymous email sent to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal that mentioned the kidnapping of his daughter.
The email reportedly said, “We will kidnap your daughter, Do what you can to protect her.”
Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal had filed a complaint to the cyber crime cell regarding a threatening email. They started investigating the matter and a security officer was assigned to protect his daughter.
A person has been detained for questioning by Cyber unit of Delhi Police’s Special Cell in connection with the anonymous mail received by Delhi Chief Minister’s Office on January 9 threatening to kidnap CM Arvind Kejriwal’s daughter.

The accused Vikash Ray, who is a resident of Bihar’s Samastipur. He is pursuing a BSc Mathematics, and preparing for the SSC while living in Burari since the past one and a half years.
Vikash Ray allegedly sent 3 emails to the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. By threatening in the first mail and the second e-mail contains that it is not a fake email. While the accused sent the last email in which he wrote that it’s a fake email.
According to police, Vikash believes that he has a mental illness. He was treated at Safdarjung Hospital and doctors said he does not have any kind of mental illness and suggested some exercises. While the accused said that he had not been given proper treatment.
This is not the first time when Arvind Kejriwal has been targeted. In November last year, someone had attacked the chief minister with chili powder at the state secretariat. Later that month, a mosque caretaker was arrested with carrying a bullet to a meeting at Kejriwal’s residence. While the Aam Aadmi Party had doubt and blamed the Bharatiya Janata Party for this incident.
